IG is a comprehensive forex broker that offers full access to the currency market and support for over 80 currency pairs. The broker only offers forex trading to its U.S.-based customers, the brokerage does it spectacularly well. Novice traders will love IG’s intuitive mobile and desktop platforms, while advanced traders will revel in the platform’s selection of indicators and charting tools. Though IG could work on its customer service and fees, the broker is an asset to new forex traders and those who prefer a more streamlined interface.
If all of that is Greek to you, then "Trading Options Greeks" is one book you'll want to add to your reading list. Author Dan Passarelli walks you through each of these techniques, explaining them in a way that's easy to understand. While it leans more heavily toward the technical side, this book may be appreciated by experienced options traders who are ready to elevate their portfolios.

This book is specifically written with beginners in mind but by the time you're done reading it, you might feel like an expert. At just 82 pages, it's a pretty quick read but as the title suggests, the goal is to get you from Point A to Point B quickly so you can become an options trader. Think of it as the Cliff Notes guide to options, hitting all the key highlights that can help fuel your success.

Options offer alternative strategies for investors to profit from trading underlying securities. There's a variety of strategies involving different combinations of options, underlying assets, and other derivatives. Basic strategies for beginners include buying calls, buying puts, selling covered calls and buying protective puts. There are advantages to trading options rather than underlying assets, such as downside protection and leveraged returns, but there are also disadvantages like the requirement for upfront premium payment. The first step to trading options is to choose a broker. Fortunately, Investopedia has created a list of the best online brokers for options trading to make getting started easier. When you make an initial trade in the forex market, you enter into a position. This means you’ve effectively taken a position on the future direction of the exchange rate of the currency pair you made a transaction in. You can add to that position by making additional transactions in the same direction or reduce that position by closing out existing trades.

My only complaint about both books is that she could use a more attentive editor, but there's nothing so bad it's really distracting. I read a review here recently where the reader said the grammar was so bad he/she couldn't finish the book (I can't remember if it was one of these two or another trading book). That's short-sighted arrogance in my opinion. The most eloquent speaker or the most concise and grammatically correct writer is not usually the best teacher. Also, if Anna had a talented editor go over this with a fine-toothed comb, yes it would be slightly easier to read, a little less repetitious, and probably a little shorter, but it would be more expensive too. If you want to learn how to work on your own Harley, the Haynes manual was written by a professional technical writer with a professional photographer looking over his shoulder at the work of a professional mechanic. Yet they (or their editors) still usually leave out all sorts of important details and perspectives that the grizzled old greasemonkey down at the shop is willing to give you if respect his experience and can dodge his tobacco juice and parse his colorful language. The Haynes manual is certainly cleaner and easier to read, but I'd prefer a conversation with the veteran any time.
Trading forex can be an ultimately rewarding experience, but you must learn the ins and outs first. There is a lot of risk involved and this most definitely outweighs the returns for those who jump the gun and start trading without being fully prepared. Take the time to work on your education - it’s the most important aspect of forex trading.  Knowledge is power, and that power will enable you to make logical decisions and continue trading long past the time when a lot of players have gone bust.
When you want to trade forex with real money, you need to deposit funds into an account with a broker to use as margin. This amount can then typically be leveraged by a ratio that depends on where you and the broker are both located. This is due to regional regulations. Brokers typically offer several different account funding methods, so choose the one that’s most convenient for you. Keep in mind that if you ever withdraw funds from your trading margin account, you’ll generally need to do so via the same method.

A lot presents the minimum that you can trade in the Forex market and is in correlation with the risk. If you are a trader, you will have to check and look for the most convenient lot size that matches your current trading account. Again, be aware that the market is very active and is rapidly changing. Therefore, if you don’t have any huge trade, a 100 pip movement won’t affect your account. On the contrary, a huge lot with the same pip movement (100 pip) will definitely result as a loss. It is significant to recognize which lot size is the most convenient for you.

"Options as a Strategic Investment" is a great introduction for beginners who are interested in learning how to use options as a hedge in their portfolios to manage market volatility. It's also a must-read for more experienced investors who already understand the market. Though it's over 1,000 pages long, this book is written in a way that's digestible even for the greenest of investors. There are also study guides available if you need a little extra help wrapping your head around some of the book's concepts.
"There is a very high degree of risk involved in trading securities. With respect to margin-based foreign exchange trading, off-exchange derivatives, and cryptocurrencies, there is considerable exposure to risk, including but not limited to, leverage, creditworthiness, limited regulatory protection and market volatility that may substantially affect the price, or liquidity of a currency or related instrument. It should not be assumed that the methods, techniques, or indicators presented in these products will be profitable, or that they will not result in losses." Learn more.

Leveraged trading in foreign currency or off-exchange products on margin carries significant risk and may not be suitable for all investors. We advise you to carefully consider whether trading is appropriate for you based on your personal circumstances. Forex trading involves risk. Losses can exceed deposits. We recommend that you seek independent advice and ensure you fully understand the risks involved before trading.
Good read and very useful the only part that lets this book down are the images! It is stated you can view the on her website but once you get there you need a password, what the password is your guess is as good as mine! Also several times in the book Anna will be talking about a set image but that image is a page back which is annoying when you're trying to read and scan the image.

The blender costs $100 to manufacture, and the U.S. firm plans to sell it for €150—which is competitive with other blenders that were made in Europe. If this plan is successful, the company will make $50 in profit because the EUR/USD exchange rate is even. Unfortunately, the USD begins to rise in value versus the euro until the EUR/USD exchange rate is 0.80, which means it now costs $0.80 to buy €1.00.
